i last went to paris in 1999. i thought that it was an interesting place - full of beautiful architecture and lots of history. i love the idea of all of those pavement cafes, where you can sit and watch the people and the world go by...
when i first arrived from the Gare du Nord, i thought i was in london! it seemed like just another big city with a lot of crazy drivers...it is true, but as i walked on further down the road, it becomes more interesting in itself. just like my own favourite city!
i hear that Paris has become dirtier and less pleasant a place to be in now. i would, however, like to go back and see it again for myself...i would like to be there at nighttime this time around as i was only there for a day trip.
the fact that there were so many french people is a little off-putting, of course....sorry, had to say that - lol!
oh and by the way, the way you phrased your question? i am not surprised that some people thought you were talking about the person, " when you come in Paris...." lol!
it is amazing how such a small word can make such a big difference to a question. lol! you should have said " when you come to Paris..." (sorry - couldn't help it!) |

Sorry to dissapoint you, but when I come in Paris I am at home. So, I like the wonderful buildings, the streets, the gardens, telling stories of the time when people read, writte, love, enjoy life. Paris keeps the perfume of this time and every corner of the city has its story, full of history and culture. |

I like:
my friends in Paris
Montmatre
sitting at the Seine near the Pont Neuf
Buttes Chaumont ( a park in the north...)
the spirit of history in every building
Pére Lachaise
the catacombes
Cathedral St. Denis ( vive le roi...)
Versailles
what I don´t like:
crowdy metros
the traffic ( including the smog)
the dirt |

Most of all I love that I can get a glass (or more) of champagne while I'm shopping in La Gallerie Lafayette, the view from the Sacre Couer and the "beach" at the Notre Dame.....hate,hate ,hate that it seems compulsory to chain smoke there so the whole place stinks and my eyes sting the whole time I'm there.
Just curious...why didn't you ask "What do you like most about the city of Paris?" to avoid any dumb answers? |

I went to Paris a few years ago and really like the famous city. While yes, everything is overrated, it is still really beautiful. The only thing I didn't really like was the snooty people. I mean, not all of them were but the majority were. I guess though in most big cities people are snooty, but that doesn't apply to Italy! (Italy was/is my favorite....Rome, Florence, Assisi) |

I think folk need to spend some time there, having done a bit of research about what's in Paris beforehand. Then it can be the very beautiful city folk say it is. I regret that I've mostly passed quickly through Paris in order to get somewhere else, but it's somewhere I've always wanted to go back to and visit properly when I get the time....and the money – ça coûte très cher là -bas, hein? |

My daughter was in Paris 2 days ago and she said it was beautiful. She loved the Eiffel Tower, but she said it was really cold. So I'm guessing that there was nothing that she didn't like!
There is a fragrance there in which I must have. It's scent resembles a Geranium flower - Do you know it's name? |

The last time I went to Paris, it had been 20 years since my previous visit. I immediately remembered why I hadn't been for such a long time. |
