you know that France is known for its famous wines. between september and november you can have jobs to help wine producers to "faire les vendanges" this means picking grapes .
maybe you could search "emploi saisonnier" cueillette or vendanges on google.fr |
|

Hello-Paris
 |
I've found for you some french websites :
http://emploi.trovit.com/offres-emploi/cueillette-des-fruits
http://cueillette-de-fruits.travail-saisonnier.com/
And what about picking grapes. In France its very important to prepare wine....look vendanges on google |

The city specialize in the Cherry is "APT" in the VAUCLUSE Departement.
You should contact the " CHAMBRE D' AGRICULTURE du Vaucluse " who can help you find the agricultors growing cherry.
For the Apples, it is more or less anywhere in the south arond septemer / october.
Good luck |

I picked plums for a summer in Southwest France (outside of Toulouse a bit) in a little tiny village. Doing so would be a great experience as people in these towns have a lot less exposure to American culture and tourists in general. They also have hick accents =P (a French version anyway!) and may speak the local dialect (Occitan) which is quickly dying.
Be prepared though for tough manual labor. I've never been so exhausted in my life. Also if you don't have a lot of experience with orchard work you may find the farmers to be a bit impatient. They expect nothing but the highest quality and hardest work from my experience regardless of any lack in farming/orchard work.
As far as actually getting a job... I think a lot of it is networking. Maybe you can go to markets and ask if they need help? I myself got the job through my sister-in-law who worked in the village and was a teacher for the owner of the orchard. Good luck! |
