if you have time to go to the western portion of south of france, you should go visit the medieval city of Carcassonne too.

I would definitely recommend Vence and St. Paul de Vence. You can catch buses in Nice to get to those places. The Matisse Chapel in Vence, which the artist considered his masterpiece, is really neat but has limited hours, so you would want to check if that is something you want to see. Eze and Grasse are two perched villages you can get to easily without a car from Nice too. They are famous for their perfume.

Aix en Provence is really wonderful too, but that is a hike from St. Tropez.

Sooooo many great places to go there! I love Nice (very pretty, lots of fun things to do). Cannes is also a cool place to check out, especially if you can go during the film festival. Definitely do a day trip to Monaco! It's VERY expensive, but absolutely beautiful and amazing to visit.

St Tropez is a very nice place but difficult to move around if u do not have a car. U must rent one because the next train station is ST RAPHAEL VALESCURE (83) (38 Km / 50 mn).

If u do not want to spend ur week in a car, u can go in CASSIS (west from ur place). It's a very small city that is separated from Marseille by the "Callanques". It's really beautiful. Then u can visit Marseille (absolutely unique) and Aix en provence that is lovely. The best is to sleep in Cassis "Hotel Liautaud" 80€ a night with a breakfast room with a great vue.
Nightlife : If open go to "La Maronnaise in Marseille. Open sky night club".

As other people, Monaco, Cannes and Nice are also a place to visit. U will find many restaurants and a great nightlife. The place to go in Cannes is "Le Baoli" (expensive).

Monaco is something to see but not a must in my opinion. Better to get there in midday to avoid traffic jam.

If u like great countryside, visit "l'arrière pays". This is much more authentic and cheaper.

Enjoy ur trip there

Note : Trains is the best way to travel in France
Note 2: next time visit French and Spanish Catalunya. It's different but maybe better.
