Where should I travel?!!?

I've gotta choice : Cape Town, South Africa or Europe - London, Florence, Rome, Paris, Pisa, Caen, and a few others but I can't remember the names of all of the cities. A lot of my family is in South Africa and if I don't go this summer I'll have to go next summer. My dad and I want to go. It would cost approximately 6,000$ for both of us. If I go to Europe, I'll be going with a group and I won't bring my dad. For one ticket it's 5,400$. If I don't go on the trip to europe this summer, I probably won't get this opportunity again. I told my family in SA that I'd come see them this summer, but this came along and I really don't want to pass it up even though it's expensive. I'd be in Europe for 20 days, and if I went to SA I'd be there for about 3 1/2 weeks. The reason Europe is so expensive is once I pay the 5400$, everything is free when I get there. Do you think I should keep my promise and go to SA or go to Europe?

People always say that Europe is a once in a lifetime opportunity. But its not. You will get the chance to go again. Dont let anyone tell you that you can never go again!!! I have been to Europe once with almost my entire family...it was for a wedding. And we thought that was a once in a lifetime thing but now we are going again in 2 years. We travel more now since we have gone to Europe. We are going to Argentina next winter (my mothers country) and then we are going to Europe the year after. Once you get the travel bug it will stay with you. But do whatever feels right. If you feel you will never get the chance to go to Europe again then go now. But dont limit yourself to this one time. If you go to Europe u will fall in love and then you'll want to take your family!!

Europe. your family will understand. the trip to europe sounds great. i would highly recommend it.

I did the Europe thing with friends and it is a once in a lifetime opportunity. If you don't do it now, you may never get the chance again. Go on a contiki tour for under 30's - that was sooo much fun.

Your family will understand. Promise them the next trip. Try to go earlier than a year later though.
