Where to stay in France? |
Anyone know of a nice, romantic place to go for a weekend in France? Don't want to drive so will have to be close to lots of amenities and things to do. Will also need to be close to airport/tunnel etc.
Thanks. |

Brittany is a very place to stay,
especially near to Saint Malo, Dinant, le Mont Saint Michel,
please avoid Paris for you unique stay in France !!
South West is very nice too,
In those place you will eat better and meet people not so silly like in Paris. It s beautiful also. |

Chenonceau - it's beautiful and has a very romantic history, you can drive there easily from Paris, it's in the Loire Valley.
Erquy is a quaint, beautiful fishing village in the north - Brittany
Mont St. Michele is amazing - it's in Normandy. |

Head for Nice
Airport right next to the city - beach - promenade - harbour where no boat costs less than five million dollars - train links to St Tropez, Cannes, Monaco ..... need I go on
Nice is great - you'll love it |

saint malo in britany...
or carcassone in south west (better weather if you plan to come in winter).
anyway there are dozens of nice town in france for a romantic week end....
but i disagree gordon, nice and all the south cost is boring...there are almost only retiered people who live there, and exept the summer season, it's quite a boring place.... |

Gordon C beat me to it. Go to Nice, you can get a cheap flight with easyjet and have a great weekend. Paris is a smaller, more expensive version of London and is totally overated. With Nice you could walk out of the airport and straight into a cheap hotel ( Try the Etap over the road for £28 p/night per room ) The nightlife is great and so is the weather. Once you have been to the south of France you will never want to go anywhere else....enjoy your trip. |

Hi!
Last summer we stayed in Paris. We got this page where they offered nice apartments in many different places all over France. We had a really good time and we didn't spend so much time on travelling as we were at the heart of Paris. I guess there must be the same on most of the major cities they have on offer. In case you're planning staying out of cities I discovered they also had villas and chalets in the countryside.
Best regards! |

Paris, of course. There is no city that is more romantic. There's a wide range of hotel types from which to choose, and fantastic public transportation both within the city and between the city and the airport. |
