Which of these months is best to visit Paris? (Less tourists)?

I want to visit Paris during the summer of next year. SEE i'M thinking since it's going to be the world cup in Africa it might not be so packed in Paris.

I can only go any one of these 4 months:

May
June
July
August.

Which of these months is less packed with tourists?? Which one is betteR? Is it cold or hot during these months in Paris? Thanks.

Hello,

All these months are very fine to visit Paris.

If you are looking for a relax visit , you must avoid the dates when exhibitions and trade shows take place in Paris.
During the Paris exhibition season hotels are more expensive, and sometimes it is difficult to find a room.
The website viparis.com gives the list of all the exhibitions in Paris.
In the end of August 2010, it will be quite impossible to find a room in Paris, there will be too many international meetings.

May, definitely. However this is also the month when we have three bank holidays so you have a good chance to have French tourists and closed places. Early June might be best.

Edit: mmh, the idiot who put a thumb down to every question in the France section is at it again

May is still quite cool. All the locals go away for the month of August so all you will see are tourists. June will have less tourists than July. July and August are quite warm.

While the worst of the tourist season is in July and August, June is also high season so May would be your best bet.

The weather is fine although what you think of as hot or cold weather often depends on what you are used to.

In Paris the average high temperature in May is 18 degrees Celsius/64 degrees Fahrenheit, and the average low is 9 Celsius/49 Fahrenheit which is not cold by my standards (although my standards have been changing since I moved to Texas). It is quite wet as the average number of days with precipitation is sixteen.

July and August are tourist central here.
