Wow, this is impossible to answer because there's just so much to see...To name a few...
In Paris - Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Sacre Coeur, Le Louvre, Le Musee d'Orsay, La Place de la Concorde, les Invalides, Montmartre, Le Quartier Latin, La Place de la Bastille, La Maison de Victor Hugo, La Place Vendome, Le Marais, Le Moulin Rouge, Le Centre Pompidou, The Rodin Museum, Les Tuileries, Le Jardin du Luxembourg, Le Pantheon, La Sorbonne...etc...I know I'm forgetting tons of things...
Elsewhere in France -
European Parliament - Strasbourg
Versailles Palace and Gardens - Versailles
Mont St. Michel
St. Malo
Mont Blanc - in Chamonix-Mont Blanc
Le Pont du gard
Carcassonne
The Loire River Valley with lots of chateaux
Vineyards of Alsace
Prehistoric cave paintings in the Dordogne
Monet's House at Giverny
The Pope's Palace in Avignon
Le Pont d'Avignon
WWI and WWII battefields
The beaches of Normandy, the American cemetery
Montpellier, Marseille, Nimes (there's a Roman coliseum there), Annecy, etc.
France has SO MUCH to offer - top tourist destination in the world. There is tons to see there, and it's a beautiful country. I highly recommend going. |

There are loads of museums. Many famous Cathedrals. The wine country. Many famous chateaus. Each region has its own special foods and attractions. The eiffel tower is just one of millions of things you could see in this fascinating country with such nice people. |

Don't go, really, if you have such a question, it will be a time spent for nothing. If you don't know nothing about what France means in the universal culture and history, use your vacation for another trip. Bon voyage ! |

France gets 77 million tourists a year (more than the U.S., Italy or Spain), so you may think that there are indeed quite a few things to see beyond the Eiffel Tower.
Actually, you could travel France your whole life and still discover new things. |

It's pretty much impossible to answer this question briefly. There's so much to see and do (and eat and drink) in France you could fill most of a library.
It's almost an entire continent in itself. Beaches, mountains, countryside, so many towns and cities with their own distinct cultures and food specialities.
Art, music, history, battlefields, bars, cafes. Really the question should be is there something I can't do in France?
Of course the downside is it's full of French people ;)
A good starting point

I went to Paris last April and the i was actually least impressed with the eiffel tower. Its such a small piece of Paris. The palace of versailles was my favorite. It was absolutely gorgeous. There are several famous floral gardens in Paris. The louvre is probably the most amazing thing in Paris. It's a fanastic museum with the most stunning pieces of art and would probably take to you months to see even half of it. Sacre Couer is a gorgeous church. Notre Dame is probably their most famous Cathedral and my favorite. Cafes are a cultural experience that one cannot miss out on. And you don't know what shopping is until you've shopped in Paris. I could go on and on... These are just the the things i saw on the first couple of days of my trip. |
