Why is Paris considered the best romantic city, but in reality it is too dirty and crowded?

In terms of man-made beauty I can't think of a more beautiful city. Flowers and fountains everywhere, the ornate architecture, the cafes... I think it's brimming with romantic possibilities, I can't wait to take my wife there.

Hey Hush yo mouth Jumana,,,,,,, i was just there,,and it is still the most romantic city,,,, i cant tell you how many people I saw kissing... and holding hands.........

Sure its a big european city,, just like...... New York City,,,,, Boston,,, Chicago,,, Detroit,,,,, Los Angles...... they are all equally dirty,,,,,,,

good luck

Because it is a romantic city. When I was in Paris, I don't think I've ever seen more street sweepers than I did in one place. The beauty is all around, and you don't even have to look for it. Paris is known as the city of light for a reason!

Ben
I don't find it too dirty or too crowded.
In the area I am familiar, trash is picked up everyday and streets are washed down and swept at least once a week.
Any place can be romantic if you bring romance in your heart.

tokala
If you think Paris is crowded and dirt, you should visit some places in Paris you obviously didn't know. So why are you taking a judgement without knowing the whole city ?

nonconformiststraightguy
In every city in the world , there parts of the town that are dirty.
The dirty sections are in the poorer parts of the city.

The buildings by the Seine are so beautful, You can share cheese and bread and a bottle of wine under a bridge by the Seine; nobody notices when you are stealing kiss

Drinking coffee on a terrace can be romantic, le Marais is great, the view from the Sacre Couer, is romantic
It's up to you to make it Romantic, go to right places.
