Winter honeymoon in paris?

I'm visiting Paris in Feb for my honeymoon. Are there any must-do's in the area considering that it will be winter, and is there anything that will be closed or that i should avoid? The current plan is to visit museums, restaurants, and some walks in the night.

Can you suggest any other areas in Europe to visit as 1-2 day trips? Specifically, places that are warm(er) would work very well.

Thanks!

Congratulations on your impending marriage!

Paris is where my wife and I honeymooned and that was more than thirty years ago. We were also there in the month of February. We're still going strong so maybe there's a bit of good luck to be found there. I hope you find the same good luck.

There's a great article in today's New York Times Travel section on Paris by night. You might find it useful if you haven't already read itl: http://travel2.nytimes.com/2006/10/01/travel/01parisnite.html?8td&emc=td

Stick with Paris. It may be marginally warmer in Spain or Italy but there's so much to see and do in Paris it will fill whatever time you have effortlessly.

While you're there try dinner at Le Coupe Chou on the Left Bank. Its a wonderfully romantic place. Check out there website at http://www.lecoupechou.com/index.php?PHPSESSID=17d8ae5ee71ea0e209cf3313d06d8e58 for details

Auc Trois Mailletz at 56 rue Galand in the 5th arr. is a great place to hang out with a pleasant ambience, a piano player and random acts of singing. Don't be alarmed by the somewhat scruffy looking older gentlemen at the bar. (Several of them are actually Greek ex-pats). In fact, they are great guys and if they find out you're newly weds I bet they'll buy you a drink.

Paris is a great city for anyone but to be there and with the one you love is, I promise, as close to heaven as you will be in this life.

Don't worry about winter, everything is still open.
Where you have to go is: Le Louvre Museum, the Eiffel Tower, Les Champs Elysées, Les invalides,...

If your looking for warmer places, you should go in the south of France or other countries like Spain or Italy

Paris is good anytime of the year. All shops are open that are open in summer. Brugges in Belgium is very nice. As well as Strasburg.

http://www.c-lafrance.com/ and http://paris.c-lafrance.com/ will give you plenty of clues how to spend your honeymoon.

If your budget can bear it, go to the restaurant on top of the Eiffel Tower. Romantic people may want to spend a night in the Montmartre area. A 2-day trip may be worth in going to the warm French Riviera (use the TGV bullet train from Paris Gare de Lyon, and then rent a car to drive along the south of France)
