Any tips on travelling from Frankfurt to Berlin? |
I'm looking for an inexpensive and convenient way to get from Frankfurt to Berlin mid-October. The trains seem very expensive - approx 100 euros (on bahn.de), given that I have purchased flight tickets for much cheaper! I don't mind taking a bus either, and would like suggestions on how to make an online reservation for one. |

Another really good, and cheap plane company is AirBerlin. They are completely non frill but nice. It depends on when you fly, but the average price is about 20 Euro. In the Summer obviously it is a lot more expensive, but sometimes they have specials where you get a flight for 1 Euro cent.
While the trains may be expensive they are well worth the price. They are fast, clean, and comfortable. Don't let the price scare you.
When in Berlin I would suggest taking an On-Again-Off-Again bus. It goes almost everywhere in the city, and the tickets are good for a day. It also sometimes gets you reduced admission to some attractions.
Have fun! |
