Generally speaking Germans are business like more than friendly. They will help you but not smother you.

If you make a real German friend, you will have this friend for life. It is hard to describe but Germans are just not the run up and hug you type of people if you know what I mean. They are not mean or rude, but they are not welcoming in the way the Bahamas are.

I find them very much like us English. They don't go out of their way to be friendly,but don't mistake it for bring unfriendly,because I believe,we and them are far from it.
I think the word would be introverted. You need to get to know us/them

You mean foreigners. I have been living in Berlin for 3 years and I think it depends on the person. If you are rude to people you will be unwelcome anywhere.
If you are on the dark side, some people say that you should stay in the west - whether this is true or not, I don't know.
Just don't go on about the war - Germans know all about it already:)

IÂ´m German and I donÂ´t make differences between people from specific countries, I just donÂ´t like morons like Brian, Howarth or Alex who donÂ´t have a clue and are full of hate and Prejudices.

I would say yes. It depends of the person and the behaviour of the foreigners. They are more direct than americans and not so "polite", their mentality is different, but theyÂ´re really nice ;-)

No, not always. I have known non-white people working in Germany who experienced some nasty name-calling on the subway and in and around the so-called Fuessgaengerzonen in various cities in Germany.

I don't care whether you like my answer, or you don't. This is a truth. Germans don't like Russians. Period.
Germans, why don't you just say that frankly: you still have Vorurteile to some nations.

I have been living in germany with my family for a year now since my husband is stationed here with the army. I think it all depends on the perosn. For one thing, they dont like americans because so many americans adopt a cat or dog for the few years they are stationed here and then let the pet run off or drop it off that the animal house. (that what the call shelter) Its really sad that americans would do that do an animal just for convieniance but they do. Also, some are nice to americans because they know how much we helped them out during the war and some of them love us. It just really depends on the person.
Germans are really CHEAP too.

they find americans absolutely facinating
they find chineese to be abominations (the whole communism thing)
they think the british are annoying and hate their accent
they are ok with french and swiss people
they like people from argentina and other countries in south america
they know absolutely nothing about canada
you dont really see people from africa here
russians really arent their favorite people if you can remember the cold
war
people from turkey are hated with a passion by some, much like
racism with blacks in america only worse
they like italians and spaniards
but mostly they prefer americans, foreigener-wise
