Are there any Thrift Stores/Charity Shops in Germany? |
I am considering spending a year in Germany, but I know how expensive clothing can be in Europe. Are there any Thrift stores in Germany, I am not looking for second-hand designer or vintage wear, just simple clothes at cheap prices. I don't mind digging through lots of junk... that is what we do here, too |

There are plenty - check out Humanitas, or Resales or any store saying Gebrauchte/second hand. They are often in side roads and in artisty areas. Best to hit the suburbs and keep an eye open.

C&A is very cheap. As far as thrift vs second hand. I that they were synonomous. There a couple of different places here in Munich. The schwabing area is full of second hand stores, and there also a couple of goodwill type of stores as well. |

When we lived in Bad Kreuznach there was such a store ran by the hospital. I can't remember the name of it for the life of me, but they had clothing, furniture and so-on. |

Yeah, there are. depending on where you live, depends on how expensive it will be. Clothing is EXPENSIVE. that's just the simple truth of the matter. The best thing to do is to just expect to pay lots of money. |
