you mean people were... don't think so.,.maybe just in the touristic areas... but germany has a high proportion urban population so don't think so

blumangrrl
Probably in Bavaria or south of munich, but this is just a guess. If youre wondering where bavaria is it is southern germany. But during october in munich they have an octoberfest where people wear traditional german clothes. this is all ive got

Who Knew?
Are you talking about lederhosen? I think they only make an appearance at Oktoberfest.

srracvuee
i would have thought you would see the odd one in Bavaria

Ahab
All the time! Day in, day out!!! Maybe during Octoberfest.
Seriously though......I doubt it!

You might see traditional clothing in Munich during Octoberfest and all year in remote (very remote) areas of Bavaria.Apart from that, theres only historical reenactments.
Besides, Bavarian leather trousers are not so traditional either.

It depends what you call "traditional". We certainly wear them for special events, such as weddings or festivals.

And by the way, not all Germans wear Lederhosen, only the Alpine folks. I'm from Schleswig-Holstein and despise that stereotype image of Lederhosen wearing Germans.

only at the fest and so on... they are so like us only I found they are a few years behind us in several things. There are a lot of places you can buy the old style clothing
you can however still get wodden shoes in Holland
