Conrad Elektronik in Berlin should have them. They have three shops:
Hasenheide 14-15
Kleiststr. 30-31
Schloßstr. 34-36
The phone number is (030) 6165170
---
on thinking it over:
As the voltage is the same in Europe and Australia and it sounds as if you'll stay here, why not have the plugs changed where possible? Shouldn't be too expensive.
---
one more edit (hours later):
I found the Conrad catalogue. The printed one. I knew I had it somewhere; so here's what you need:
The "Universal-Reiseadapter". They say it's also ideal for visitors to Germany. The item number is 48 17 80-88 (catalogue page 646) and it goes for 20.50 euros. Ask for it at a Conrad store. |

Should have bought some before you moved buddy, helps to think stuff through as I see Australian to European power adapters at any local electronics store here...
My guess is just go to any big electronics department store:
I used to live in Munich for 2 years and from what I remember German electronic stores are fortresses of technology compared to Australian ones over here... |

Conrad is indeed the best place to turn to; you can check out their website first - the stock in their stores differs somwhat from the stock in their online-store. [www.conrad.de]
Also, check out if the following products fit your needs:
http://www.amazon.de/Reiseadapter-Reisestecker-universell-einsetzbar-Netzspannung/dp/B000R576UU/ref=pd_bbs_sr_8?ie=UTF8&s=ce-de&qid=1206294390&sr=8-8
http://www.amazon.de/Welt-Reisestecker-Deutschland-Universal-USA-JAP/dp/B000M95JQ4/ref=pd_bbs_sr_12?ie=UTF8&s=ce-de&qid=1206294390&sr=8-12
there seem to be others as well, but these two specifically mention Australia; hope they are SAFE as well......
Alternatively: put up notes on notice boards at the universities, or in some of the bigger student accommodation places they might have; or check out some places you assume you might find the odd Australian exchange student [i. e. Irish Pubs, etc. :-) ].
Student who are going home soon might be keen to sell their adapters. |
