Beauty of neuschwanstein castle?

How would you describe the castle "schloss neuschwanstein" to somebody who has never seen it?

Crogiolo dei Mondi
I've been there... It is really the fairy castle par excellence...

But at the same time it is anachronistic... Thinking that at the same time, in Chicago the first skyscrapers were being built it sounds really strange ! The castle is the mirror of the King of the Bavaria Ludwing II, a vary strange and asocial personality not able to control the circumstances of his period... In fact the castle is a kind of shelter from the external world designed only for him and few friends...

There also are other beautiful castles in this region, for example the Residenz and Niphemburg Schloss in Munich...

It is the castle that Cinderellas's castle was based on. Spires, courtyards, gold EVERYWHERE inside, and a tribute to the arts and legends of the world.

it is the real fairy tale castle. Can anyone who has seen it doubt that? It is magical and beautiful. In this castle are all our dreams of princes and princesses.

It is a castle built by a crazy king, Ludwig II, during the mid 1800's, about 300 years after people stopped building castles. He completely broke the country, and he later "mysteriously died" at one of his other overly extravagant castles, Linderhof.

The castle, while beautiful, is incomplete. The funny thing about Ludwig, is that he was completely insane for building these places, but now they are what draw the tourists and their money to Bavaria.

a work of true art. i never saw it because when my dad and his mom went, i was sick, but that is how they described it to me, and they said it was more amazing than the louvre in paris (which i did visit). it is a true princess castle.

The "Disney Land Castle". It's modeled after it.
