Chestah is not quite correct. Schönefeld is not central at all. It lies in the far south of Berlin and the S-Bahn (train) needs about 45 minutes to get there. And there is absolutely nothing around that airport except used car shops and meadows.
Tempelhof is about to get closed down, very few landings happening there.
The central airport is Tegel.
Neither one of the airports is really close to Landsberger Allee, though.

Chestah: When I get on the subway at Tempelhof (which is already in town), the U6 needs about 12 minutes to Berlin Mitte (center). The S-Bahn from Schönefeld takes at least 35 minutes. |

Tempelhof is closer (at least geographically), but it doesn't really matter. You don't choose your flight according to which one is closer to the hotel, but which one is more convenient. Berlin has an excellent public transportation system (best in the world) and you can easily get from one place to each other.

If you are near S-Bahn stop Landsberger Allee it will take you about 40 min to get to Schoenefeld using the S-Bahn and train system and about 40 min to Tegel using S-Bahn, U-Bahn and Bus.
Timewise it therefore doesn't matter, but the changes from S-Bahn to S-Bahn are bound to be more convinient than from S-Bahn to Bus or Underground. |

Schoenefeld! It´s the best airport in Berlin! It´s very central and you can find all the important things in Berlin around the Schoenefeld airport!
@Otto B: They built many things around Schoenefeld the last years, and you don´t need as much time from there to downtown than from Tempelhof.... |
