Can I find work in Bavaria even though I don't speak German? |
I don't have any teaching experience, and need to earn at least 200 euros a week. I am willing to work anywhere.
I have looked on all the internet recruiters websites and contacted some companies directly but I can't seem to find anything. Its becoming really frustrating, and I only have 2 weeks before I leave! Additional Details Thanks for answers. Prostitution is not an option - thanks anyway.
Its different from country to country. UK & USA expect people to speak english where as loads of tourists visit Europe and dont speak the language - they manage fine! |

I know someone else mentioned the military bases. But there are also vacation resorts operating for military personal stationed in Germany. (Military bases are EVERYWHERE in Germany)
Try: http://www.edelweisslodgeandresort.com/ Edelweiss Lodge and Resort. |

You'll never be able to teach in a school here for the simple fact, you don't speak German and that is the first language here; second you have to have an 'Ausbildung' (training as a teacher). Thirdly, teaching is a government job, you're not hired by the school but rather the government of the state or county.
Actually, here in Germany, you have to have training for every job (except for menial tasks - cleaning toilets, labourer, or other jobs Germans refuse to do). But speaking German is essential for the simple reason this is Germany and contrary to popular belief not everybody in Germany speaks English...a small percentage of people do.
'footnote'
It doesn't matter if there are allot ot English speaking tourists in Germany, you still have to be able to communicate with your employer, co-workers, government officials (taxes, etc.), everyday people, and even German tourists. You must also have an Ausbildung for being a tour guide. Like I said before...you do NEED the training from a recognized school in Germany or the pay will be terrible (5 € or less per hour or even one of our famous 1€ jobs) and employers will file your application in file 13.
As far as military bases, you have to apply at the headquarters for US operations in Stuttgart...and they don't pay all that well...about 800€ per month before taxes. |

go to USAJOBS.com this website is for government positions available world-wide. Your best bet is to work on a military base. One base to check out is Vilseck.....they are one of the biggest Army installations in Germany and are always hiring for some job. |

What HeatherMarie said! It's a beautiful new resort, and should have lots of different types of jobs there. |

Go there and visit schools directly to offer your services as a teacher of English as a foreign language. Someone will hire you. Where is your faith in yourself. I did it and spent a year and a half in Europe. |
