BLUE SKY

Can a family ask for me as a worker and request a visa to germany?

hi.
if i have an agreement with a family, where i would be teaching their little girl spanish, and they will let me stay in their house, and provide me with food. on the same time they would be paying me.

could i apply for a visa in germany? there isnt a visa for such a job, they already told me it doesnt apply for an aupair visa, do could it apply to a "worker visa or something??

thanks
Additional Details
no im not too old i still have 4 years left to be an "official aupair" i dont have enough knowledge for the language, i speak a 10 percent and i need a 30.
I dont need the tourist visa, since i can get in and out with the passport and i have 3 months, the thing is that i only have 3 months for that...

They could do it inofficially, ie the agreement between you and the family is informal.

Au-pair visa would be the best route to take, the Spanish language lessons would then be an extra to watching the child. That would be a legal grey area.

Alternatively they can sign a declaration of liability on your behalf. They could tell the foreigner's office they have been good friends with your parents for ages and that they intend to let you stay with them for a year while you learn German. You'd get a residency permit for the purpose of learning German and free room and board. Anything else that would go on between you and your hosts would be under the table. Downside is that if they refuse to pay you are screwed - since the teaching is illegal there is no way to get at the money they promised you.

For Canadian, Australian and New Zealand citizens there is the possibility of getting a Working Holiday Visa to Germany, but not for US citizens.

No, they can not. This "loophole" with asking for a specific person is under rather strict regulation. Somewhere in the law text for that it says that the person providing the skills must be someone who can't be found in Germany. A highly trained specialist or someone with an unusual, but necessary-for-the-job combination of language skills or something. Unfortunately, for your case, quite a lot of people could teach that little girl Spanish, be it at home or in a language class for children. The person or company asking for a specific person to get a visa must proof that they would have a real disadvantage if the state does not let that person they request come and work for them. Having to go to a language school or having just about any Au-Pair with Spanish language skills does not constitute such a disadvantage.
Sorry.

ok, it's really easy. if u are staying for only 3 month u don't need anything u r allowed to just stay here, but u have to leave after 3 month. If u r citizen of the USA or australia and u would like to stay longer u won't need a visa neiter u have to apply for an residence permit, thats all u need.

okay if it doesn't apply for an au pair visa you might be to old for being aupair. Well get a tourist visa for three months
