Can anyone help me find a room for oktoberfest 2008? |
me and 2 more friends are going to be at munich from sept 26-28, our flight back to Mexico is on the 29th but I cant find a place to stay anywhere, everything is booked, there are a couple of hotels available but they are really expensive! around 900usd and we can not afford that. Does anyone know about a place to stay? |

Hi,
It is really difficult, but you might still get a room. Though you might have to share rooms with other people and sleep in a dormitory of 8-10 persons.

Another possibility is to look outside of Munich, i.e. in Augsburg or small places like Dachau, Olchingen, Freising, Rosenheim etc. Train connections are pretty good but don't run at late night.

Everything is booked for the time around the Oktoberfest! Almost in years in advance! The only thing I can think of is trying to look for agencies that will get you in contact with locals who rent out rooms to students and young people, but even they are probably all booked already. Sorry, I can't provide you with a name, though... |

Check www.hrs.com....some hostel or hotel still available wit-in 5-10 miles of munich...transpo is good anyway..hope u can find 1. |
