Cheap places to buy Birkenstock in Southwestern Germany?

Where are some places - like outlets - to buy birkenstocks at cheap prices?

Every time I go to Germany I buy a new pair of Birkenstocks!

Last time I paid €39,90 for the plain Birks at a shoe store called Görtz. They seem to have shops all over Germany, so they are a likely stop for you. There is another store called Görtz 17, which tends to carry more trendy shoes, and I have not found Birks at that shop.

I have also bought Birks at Karstadt and at Galleria Kaufhof. These are larger national department stores, and their prices tend to be pretty good.

If you go to the official Birkenstock website in Germany (link below), you can put in the postal code in the area where you are staying in order to search for a shop where Birkenstocks are sold. Click on the link "Suchen" on the far right-hand side, and then click on "Wo finde ich mein Fachgeschäft?" In the central box, put in your postal code.

It will list the stores for you, complete with your addresses. :-)

If you do not know the postal code for the area where you are staying, you can go to the Deutsche Post link I have pasted below. The link in on the left hand side under Online Services, Postal Code Search.

Good luck!

Salamander has great shoes. You should check them out. They're in all the main shopping streets in Deutschland. Honestly, you can get Birkenstocks for like 30 Euro wherever you buy them. They're wicked cheap overthere because they arent as popular over there as they are here, where you can pay upwards to $80 for them.

Kaiserslautern has a couple of options. One is www.european-shoes-online.com. There is another one, but I can't find the info on it right now. I don't know if that is close to where you are though...

If you look here, you can enter your postcode and it'll show shops in the vicinity. Then maybe you check out one or two.
