Cool Hostels in Munich??

Hey, how you doing guys. I have been planning all around to go to Germany and I finally gonna have the opportunity to spend two week out there. I was wondering if some of you know of a cool hostel in Munich that you would recommend. I was thinking in something such as Colour Hotel in Frankfurt, but in Munich.

Thank you and take care.

The Wombats has been voted best hostel in Germany, it's a very popular place for travellers.
It's centrally located near Hauptbahnhof and very clean with friendly personnel.

I don't know whether you would classify it as cool, but I really liked the Meininger. It is a hotel/hostel, so they have slightly above average standards, like no more than 6 people to a dorm, private bathroom and TV set in all dorms and halfway decent breakfast that is included in the price. They are not the cheapest and they are relatively large, so some have said it "has the charm of a hospital" - but I think it is was one of the nicest and cleanest (!) hostels I have stayed in. They are only 3 tramstops or so away from the main train station and right across the road from an old-style brewery, so that is a major plus too.

But if you want it really cheap and are going in summer, check out "The Tent" a bit outside the city. http://www.the-tent.com/

This hostel is cool. We stayed in Jaegers but it wasn't as fun so we partied in this one.

I highly recommend purchasing a Rick Steves book prior to your trip .I found one on e-bay in great condition. He has a list of what he recommends and from prior experience I have never been disappointed with his advice. Also on several different locations you can even mention his book and save money. Good luck on you trip, It is truly a very beautiful Country with much to see and do.
