Trefe is comming from Jiddish and means the opposite of koscher = Verunreinigung = impurity. I have only read this expression in conjunction with geology.

german is a very complex lingo. to exactly translate the text provided by you is difficult as i do not know the full storey....you only providet an abstract of ? only. spelling mistakes on your behalf do not help either. i'm guessing van = von , meten = metern, trefe maybe equels tiefe. ........ deposits of very dence sand, grid enhanced with clay with a minimum thickness of several meter, marked by the slow acent of mechanical ........last bit missing because of trefe....eigenschaffen - trefe ?? sorry !
