Daily diet (breakfast, lunch & dinner) for a German house guest?

My 21 yr old son met a German female student during a university exchange in Asia. She is coming to stay with us in USA for 2 weeks.

In Germany, what do they "generally" eat for breakfast (milk, cereal or toast as in USA?), lunch (sandwich?) & dinner (steak, pork, pasta, brocili?)

What kind of meat (beef?), vegetables and fruits do they generally eat?

once I was staying in a hotel in New York and many of the other guests were German....they seemed to like granola, yogurt and fruit for bkfst. but just as there are no "typical" americans, this girl might have unique preferences..I would say just be flexible, have a backup choice if she doesn't like what yr having

I have had many Germans stay with me and their diets are only a little different not much. Its all the same ingredients usually just cooked or prepared differently thats all.

I am sure she may have her own unique eating habits but most grocery stores here will provide what she would need. Just take her shopping with you and pick out some things she will like as well and I am sure she will want to try some local dishes to your area!!

As said above, dont worry too much just be flexible. They eat meat, vegetable and such just as we do!

Regular breakfast like you was saying here already. They like also sandwiches and regular snacks. For dinner beef, pork, vegetables and fruits is all fine.
Germany has international food, I think there will be any problems.
