I remember 0,20 from the 1990s. That was the minimum amount you had to insert. How long it would last depended on the distance. There was local, medium and long distance first; later, there only was local and long distance. Don't know how much it costs today; haven't used a pay phone for years. In the area I live in, only about a third of all the pay phones still accept coins; you'll need a prepaid phone card or a calling card for the others.
I THINK that there was a time when the minimum was 0,30, and then they raised it to 0,20 euros, which basically is 0,40 mark. |

The minimum input was 20 Pfennig that time.One Mark was 100 Pfennig.Right now I think it will be 20 Euro Cent.But I,m not shure because since we are using Mobile,s it,s difficult to find one. |

The last time I used one the price was 0,20 DEM for a local call, but for a longdistance call from Hamburg to Cologne I paid 1,75 DEM/min and then it clicked very fast. That was in the mids 80ties. |
