Mind that there are some neo-Nazis who are anti-Jew, and that the word "Muslim" might be synonym to "terrorist" among less educated people. But I think that's not a bigger problem here than in any other Western country.
Native Germans are mostly Christian by belief (mostly Catholic or Lutheranian Protestants), but religion is not really a part of everyday life. I wouldn't say we "respect" other religions. I'd say, we just don't care about religion.

Yes they do. I'm taking german as my language in school and my teacher says they have a religion class where they learn about most religions. This is probably to prevent another WW.
