DAB is a kind of beer for drinkers from outside of Germany ;)
It's well advertised and has a good name.
Yeah, Germans usually drink beers brewed locally in their living area. So, it doesn't make sense to ask Germans about all beer that was produced in Germany for export :) |

Hell, no! It tastes lousy! -- But maybe Australian DAB is better than the German one; you know, DAB is a trademark, not a beer, and each country make their own DAB.
I'm from Bavaria, Germany, the "beer state", if you like, and I prefer something like the "Andechser Dunkel" (dark beer from the Andechs monastery in Bavaria), or a "Erdinger Weißbier" (beer made from wheat with some yeast in the bottle).
You can discuss beer tastes with Germans all night long, and it will never come to an end. They'll engage in discussions like "we in the north" and "you southerners" and "we in the west" and "you easterners"... -- get the notion? Talking with Germans about beer is like stirring an ants' nest.
btw, I've never been to Australia, but I love your radios on the net. |

my favorite is stuttgarter hofbräu, the pils is the best in my opinion, weißbier is okay, its generally cheaper but pils just has a stronger flavor. also a dunklebier (dark beer) is awsome too. honestly i have lived here for quite a while and have never heard of DAB beer. i guess ours here is so good, we really dont need imports. |
