Yes I think I like Germany. My uncle lives there with his kids. I visited them this summer. It's a nice place. The people there are more open and friendly than here in the US.

I do actually, I think the people there are generally very nice and it's a shame how the negative attitude towards the Germans still seems to remain in some respects since the war.

I used to live there and have done business there for years. Not so much now. I am preferring to stay at home. Overall, it is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to make a life there long term.

They do not have legal gay marriage in Germany and in Canada I can marry my wife (I'm lesbian). That's a big negative against Germany right there.

Also, we have a more equal and democratic country in Canada. For example, when you apply for jobs in Germany you have to submit a photo of yourself. Surely this is discriminatory. Also, you have to state your age, place of birth etc. This is illegal in Canada.

RUBY
I LIVE IN MINNESOTA, USA. WE ARE PROUD GERMANS UP HERE BUT HAVE LEARNED IN MY TRAVELS THAT GERMANY IS NOT SO RESPECTED BY THE SURROUNDING COUNTRIES. IS THAT YOUR EXPERIENCE??
