Does Germany have Homedepot centers?

The reason you saw so many small shops is because Munich is a large city.

While there are homedepot-like stores in Europe (Obi, Praktiker and Hellweg are some chain names in Germany) these are often in the suburbs. In Munich a location in the suburb can mean a driving time of 1 to 2 hours. Some Germans therefore prefer to buy from the more traditional local shop around the corner instead. Much less hassle that way.

They have stores that are similar but not Home Depot exactly. Hornsbach is very identical to Lowes. You can by lumber, tile, paint, powertools everything you can think of for home repairs. Also there is OBI same thing. Its even Orange like Home Depot

No Homedepots, but lots of places like it. Look for OBI, Globus, Baumarkt, Praktiker... and you should find what you're looking for.

If you mean the US-company Home Depot I haven`t seen here and I don`t believe that they go to German after the flop of Wal Mart here. Wal Mart had severe problems with their german customers and with their german employees.
But if you mean stores where you can buy concrete, drill machines, lawn mowers, paint and so on there are a lot.
For excample
Praktiker, Max Bahr, Toom, Obi, Bauhaus. And a lot of small specialists.

There are large suburban hardware stores in some places in Germany, which are similar to Home Depot, but smaller. But I have not seen that particular chain.

Like the others said, there are OBI, Hornbach, Praktiker... and Toom and Globus. But with the last two, you need to be careful, as those two chains don't only have hardware-stores, but also supermarket-stores or sometimes even just huge stores for drinks ("GetrÃ¤nkemarkt"). Most of the times, there will be the hardware store next to the supermarket next to the "GetrÃ¤nkemarkt", but not always and not everywhere. In the town where I live, for example, we do have a toom - supermarket, but the toom - hardware store you will search for without success, since there isn't one for miles. Luckily, OBI is just across the street. Best thing to do: Just ask a local for a hardware store, s/he will tell you where to go, regardless of which brand it is the town you're in is having.
Oh, and: be careful and don't hurt yourself! ;)

They have something called OBI which is the same as Home Depot.

There's lots of different places like home depot...Toom is my personal favorite...Praktiker is not too bad as well.

They don't have Home depot, but OBI, Hornbach, Baumarkt is similar the same like Home depot.
