Hi from Germany! Use the following link and you will find lot's of informations about restaurants in Potsdam: http://www.potsdam.de/cms/ziel/31428/DE/

I lived in Berlin for more than 10 years (next to Potsdam) and I'd like to refer to the restaurant at Sansoussi-Castle (A MUST anyway), if you'd like to have an excellent atmosphere. On the other hand you'll find many regular restaurants downtown, the best are italians and chinese. Never go to an Indian restaurant in Germany.

Be also aware that many people in Western Germany speak english, Potsdam belonged to the GDR (German Democratic Republic) where children learned russian in school - would be a good idea to have a dictionary, unless you speak German.

Okay, that's it, for further questions please do not hesitate to contact me, greetings from Düsseldorf, Germany

I was in Postdam last summer and they do have plenty of good resturants especially on the main street which name escapes me. There is this one district with good Italain foods but here is a link with loads of resturants.
