Finding work in germany?
does anyone have any tips on getting work in germany. i can't speak much german and just about everything including labouring jobs seem to require it. i've tried the usual job agencies like manpower e.t.c .
Production jobs are basically non-existant at the moment. And if you don't speak German you can forget it.

good luck....I had to start my own business working for myself. dont worry you will have to take the immigration course when you register at the auslanderamt....you will take german for 6 months. I advice is to learn it the best you can and try to speak it with everyone here.
and sorry I'm not hiring i am a one man team
Good luck

Unfortunately, the other posters have it right. In a job where all else is equal, a German will be hired first, a citizen of EU second, and whoever else third. Many jobs (even some that you may define as menial) require you to have an Ausbildung (apprenticeship- formal extensive training), which throws many foreigners for a loop.
You could try at an Irish pub or maybe a fast food place. If you can, take classes to improve your German.

No german - No job. That's the basic rule, sorry. In times like these, you need to be well qualified to get a job.
