gingi_01
messen = to measure
vergessen = to forget
fressen = to eat (this is only used for animals, or when a person eats particularly nastily)
essen = to eat

rennen = to run / to race
verbrennen = to burn
I don't think that there is any such thing as verprennt.
kennen = to know
nennen = to call / to name

fliegen = to fly
biegen = to bend
wiegen = to weigh
siegen = to win
liegen = to lie (down)

In many cases, like all of those above, all you need to do is add an 'en' at the end and get rid of the 't' if it's er / sie / es. Here is a translation site that might help you in the future:

http://dict.tu-chemnitz.de/ or http://www.iee.et.tu-dresden.de/cgi-bin/cgiwrap/wernerr/search.sh

Good luck with your German!!
