I was born and raised in Germany but lived in Savannah GA now since 1989

Every place has it's good and bad points... The Autobahn is no worst then the Interstates here People drive just as fast IF not faster over here... just don't get caught by smokey..they will get you no matter what country you live in....A nice place to live is Heidelberg it's near Mountains or Munich Berlin and Garmisch.. but basically anywhere in Germany is beautiful..My favorite Car is an Audi they last forever... as well as Mercedes... i drive a Mustang :)
The bad thing now is... i was home visiting 2 years ago first time since the Berlin wall came down..it's overflowing with people from allover Europe and the Stores don't stay open like they do here in the States... 24/7
But one great thing used to be.. (not sure if it still is) The Healthcare system.. everyone gets Insurance.. no matter who you are...

Hi, I'm German and live near Stuttgart. I think it's pretty cool here!!! In my view the main disadvantages are the "German bureaucracy", sometimes the wheater, a few unfriendly people and rural life (to boring in my opinion ;) ) But I think everywhere are unfriendly people :D and rural life is always boring ;P Depending on what you like more: easing or action :D Furthermore, it could be a problem for tourists to find the right way (bad signage) But normally e.g. on airports or trains there are enough signs, also in english ;)
Besides these disadvantages, there are also many advantages!!!!! Things worth seeing in many cities, good public transport, nice people, clubs&discos in cities (Berlin, Cologne.....), and everything you need (supermarkets, health care, etc.)
But: in Europe is everything a bit smaller I think. No supersize me stuff :D and less high-rise buildings.

The autobahn is pretty cool ;) Several parts are without any speed limit ;) and fav. car is porsch or mercedes.

P.S. sorry for bad english;)
