Getting From Schoenefeld Airport to hotel in Central Berlin?

S-Bahn line no.9 to Alexander Platz, change to subway line U2 direction RUHLEBEN and leave at station Märkisches Museum (2 stops) than you are almost there, only walk down Wallstraße and after 100m on the left side is your Hotel, Neue Roßstraße 13.
when you leave the station, turn to the right, 100m to the left is the "Neue Rosstrasse. Second Hotel after the road-crossing on your left side. Very easy to find.

Costs: S & U Bahn (tram & Subway) = approx. 2,70 Euro a ticket for the whole day (you can cruise the entire city for 24 hours) costs 6,10 Euro.
Taxi = approx. 45 Euro.

Time: 1/2 hour with both Taxo or subway

S-Bahn is a subway but on surface, U-Bahn is metro or subway.

@Alwin E, no problem when you come from Alexander-Platz.
its very easy, you can see already the Hotel when you step out of the station.

SXF is someway out in the woods, but there's an S-Bahn to get you to center Berlin. 10179 is located in Berlin-Mitte, see Google Maps:

I know why you couldn't find it: There's no German ß on your keyboard... ;o)

Enter "Flughafen Schönefeld" in the upper text box, and enter "Spittelmarkt" in the textbox below. Remove the checkmarks from "Straße Hausnummer" and select the date and time you want to travel. Mind the German date format, it's dd-mm-yy, with dots. So we don't say 9-11, but 11.9.

@Bernd, I would have gone to Spittelmarkt instead of Märkisches Museum. It's a few meters more to walk, but you can easily lose your way around the museum. Been there, seen that.

@Bernd, really? So I'll believe what you say. It's been a long time since I lived and worked in Berlin, and things may have changed. Things keep changing there all the time. I'll go again this summer, and am really looking forward to it.

I used to live in a student's flat at Mendelssohn-Bartholdy-Park, that's near Potsdamer Platz and also on the U2 line, till 2001.
