Proud history (aside from the obvious blip), fantastic music (I'm big into industrial/electronic), very good beer, Oktoberfest proves you can party, the women are lovely and on the whole, a very patient people. I love Germany

people are people, there is good and bad no matter where your from or your color or creed. let the remarks made in bad taste roll off your shoulders, you will be the better person. my Nana was German-great lady! miss her terribly-a bit stubborn(guess that's where i get it) and very SMART. not to mention beautiful!

Good chocolate. :-) Not very friendly however because when my parents went there they tried to be nice and every person they came across acted like they weren't there when they said hello in German and when they had their translater say something for them they had ill manners.

Very friendly people...hospitable, welcoming, polite, helpful, outgoing, contrary to their supposed lack of humour I find they're not humourless - in fact, not humourless at all...You're a truly lovely bunch of people!

Germany is a fantastic place - great cities such as Hamburg, Cologne and Munich. I didn't really like Berlin, though. (Sorry, no offence intended...). Stuttgart is also worth a visit...erm, what else? Oh yes, the landscape - very diverse, especially for a European country...you've got pretty much everything: ocean and beach, mountains, great forests, lakes.

oh...und natuerlich nicht zu vergessen: die Sprache! Deutsch ist so eine schoene Sprache...vor allem diese zum Teil ewig langen, zusammengesetzten Woerter. Ich liebe beispielsweise das Wort Ohrwurm. Uebergangsjacke oder Torschlusspanik sind auch nett...oder auch der Dauerbrenner in nicht-deutschsprachigen Laendern: die Schadenfreude.
