Yes, not only was I born in Nuremberg, I have been back to Germany twice in 2000 and 2001. My absolute favorite town is Rothenberg. It is a walled community and so small you can walk all of it! The streets are paved with bricks and there are several Christmas shops! I love it!!!

I went to Germany a couple of years ago for the first time, when I was 23. Took a wwII Tour with a great touring company. Landed in Amsterdam and stayed there for a day or so, saw some amazing brown and white striped cows and went to a wood shoe carving place. Then went into Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Munich. Went to see Hitlers Eagles Nest, Hofbrauhous where they have the best beer. Had the chance to go to Dachau. Also, went to France where I saw the Normandy Beaches where my grandfather landed on D-DAY. Loved Honfleur France-a little seaside resort area. Sampled fantastic foods and drank the best beer and wine of my life. I did double this, but it should give you a good idea.

Yes. Germany is one of the cleanest countries in western Europe. There aren't many "slums" as we call them. The people are nice, but not over friendly and most of them smell fine. You can feel safe here almost anywhere you go, but always be cautious in the bigger cities. If you're moving here, don't worry. There is a lot to see, and it will be a wonderful experience. If you're traveling, stay away from Frankfurt (Boring and most of it's ugly due to WWII). Munich is worth seeing as well as many smaller towns (google it).

Yeah, I'm in the army.
