yes I have been there before and loved the Karneval,~ Fasching very much . The people over there are nice too . The one in Cologne is great to be at . The Dome is a beautiful piece of art. And i have been in Koblenz too where the Rhein and Mosel come together. |

Yep lots but not during Carnival........If I were you I would take the boat ride between the two cities then you can get the best of both....The river trip is a lot of fun...Oh and go to the Koln Zoo and take the Gondola ride over the Rhine (I assure you it is not OSHA approved, but it is like a ride at Disneyland...----)LOL |

Yes, My grand mother lived in Bad Oeynhausen. I went there in the summers and any chance I got. I have not been to Carnival in Koln, How ever I have been in New Orleans. I have visited many cities in the region. Including Dusseldorf, Bielefeld.
There is nothing I disliked. I liked most my friends. |

Ich habe!!! ....dieses Jahr auch (I just got back like 2ish weeks ago)! Ich war in Duren fur zwei Wochen (well, actually...it was Merzenich, which is right outside of Duren) mit meiner Hostfamilie, und dann ich habe Suddeustchland "toured" (Nurnberg, Munchen, Heidelberg, Rudesheim, und Frankfurt).
I saw karneval in Duren, I did go to Cologne, though not for Karneval. I thought the parades were a lot of fun, we definitely don't have parades like those here in America....lol. Also, everyone was really nice, and included me in everything, though it helped that I do speak some German.
I also went to Aachen, Maastricht (Niederlanden), and somewhere in Belgium...a mountain, lol.
I love Germany soooo much, and I'm going back in June to go on a bike trip with my host brother(s) and their friends!!! I'm sooooo excited, I have been thinking of moving there, though I should probably finish college first, possibly study abroad there, and then think about that. I 18, and a senior in high school at the moment, so I've got a ways to go. |

I actually grew up there.
Best things are beer (Herforder Pils] and food. Everything is very cheap there and it is very clean.
Have seen the carnival, it is great fun. |
