> Is it worth travellin from hamburg to elmshorn daily?

Depends. Elmshorn is a small town of 45.000 citizens just like any other Western German town. It's a good place to live, lots of green suburbs, but it ain't something special either, and it obviously cannot be compared to a large city like Hamburg. Both have their pros and cons.

> Is there any site seein in elmshorn?

No, not really. If you expect a cozy little town I'd have to say that what hasn't been destroyed by British bombs in WW2 has been destroyed by dumb city planers in the '60s and '70s.
It doesn't look that bad, though, at least from above: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=53.756932,9.659214&spn=0.037601,0.10849&z=14 :-)

> Is there any train facility for that else how do people travel?

Public transport is part of the Hamburg metropolitan public transport system HVV, i.e. there's a unified fare system, one ticket is good for all companies, busses, trains and ferries, and time tables are linked.

Elmshorn has its own train station, you can find the schedules at http://www.geofox.de/base/stationCheck.do?stationName=Elmshorn&LANGUAGE=en_GB (three and four digit numbers are busses, letters followed by a number are trains).
The train lines R60 and R70 connect Elmshorn to stations Hamburg-Altona and Hamburg-Hauptbahnhof (Hbf, main station), respectively, these are the two major hubs in Hamburg.
Travel time is between 20 and 35 minutes depending on the route, with four to six connections hourly (_not_ one as someone else stated), starting around 4am until past midnight. Single ticket (Hamburg main station - Elmshorn) costs 4.20 Euro, standard monthly ticket is 126 Euro, if you take 12 monthly tickets (the subscription ticket, "Abonnement") price is down to 102.60 Euro per month.

From Elmshorn station you can either take one of the bus lines or a bike. There are bike lockers at the station available for rent, and Elmshorn is not big. Where are you going to work?
There's a map of the local bus lines available at http://www.hvv.de/pdf/fahrplaene/stadtverkehre/Elmshorn.pdf .

If you decide to take the car instead of the train: Elmshorn is conveniently located near the Autobahn A23. Traffic near Hamburg is heavy though during rush hours at least in the afternoons, so you might not be faster, and don't forget that gas prices are high in Germany, so you definitly won't save anything compared to a monthy HVV ticket.

Anyway, it all depends on if you'd rather like to be close to any kind of amusement (live in Hamburg) and spend an hour, an hour and half as a commuter daily, or if you'd rather be close to work, like 10 minutes by bike or so, and only go to the movies once a week (or whatever, but movies not dubbed in German are only on Hamburg's screens).

zuerst Pinneberg und dann Elmshorn

With Regio-bahn from Elmshorn to Hamburg Hauptbahnhof (central station) the train needs a little bit about 30 min.
Worse is you only will have one train per hour

Here some links for information of public transport in Hamburg.

Possibly it would be better to go to Pinneberg by bus and from there by S-Bahn to Hauptbahnhof, for S-Bahn goes all 20 min.
It is essential for you to know the german word Hauptbahnhof for Central Station.

the Hamburg subway map: http://www.hvv.de/pdf/fahrplaene/usar/hvv_usar_regio.pdf

Elmshorn is on that map.

It is a 30 minute trip from Hamburg Altona to Elmshorn. ( Some trains are faster than that)

Hamburg is the most beautiful city in the world. U will love it!!!

It should be a short drive by car or better bei train every day.

Hamburg is very beautiful. lots of places to go and see. and also many places to go at night (nightclubs, etc).
when you want to live in hamburg but work in elmshorn you can buy an abo ticket from Deutsche Bahn. per month costed around 360€ and you can use it for all over Deutschland and some nahverkehr (trams, buses, etc) in almost every city. but this ticket is yearly. its for a year that you must paid that much per month. A friend had that coz she works in Bad Oyenhausen and live in Hannover.
