FKK clubs in the actual sense, i.e. groups of nudists? They are accepted, there are many FKK beaches, and especially in the area that used to be the GDR, this is generally considered a part of normal life.
Places calling themselves FKK clubs in the same way others call themselves saunas to disguise the fact that they are essentially brothels, are frowned upon regardless of what label they stick on themselves. |

kat is right; an "FKK club" is very likely to be viewed as (and, matteroffactly, mostly is) a brothel.
But don't mistake the Germans' loving of nudity for being likely to having sex "on the spot". In summer, it's quite common that women go bathing topless, and in areas where it's allowed, both men and women walk and swim naked. There's no sexual intentions about it whatsoever. Although you'll find people walking naked near a lake where you can swim in, in public baths, it's forbidden. And even if you'd go to an FKK place, probably the worst thing you could do is to tell a woman that you like her breasts. If you do, you're putting your life at stake. |

There is quite a difference between east and west. In former east Germany there has always been a nudism culture and even though in the west they always had nude beaches and some clubs it wasn't as popular as it was in the east.

How do Germans feel about nudists? Well, "each to hir own" of course. Ie everybody can do as s/he wants as long as it doesn't bother anybody else. Nudity does not cause a stir as long as nudists restrict themselves to certain areas. These areas are generally agreed upon by social consensus. Topless sun bathing on the balcony is not a problem, nor is nude hiking through the forest. But when you go jogging naked through the city the police will pick you up. |
