i am german and i can tell you right now that unless you're really skilled it's gonna take you a very long time. you should live there if you want to learn fast. but a lot of germans will talk english with you and you're getting in that habit to do so too. either way.

its pretty difficult to learn it fast without a personal teacher i guess but if you watch lots of german television u will improve ur german kind of quickly...:D
