How do I write an address, when writing to someone in Germany? |
In the US addresses are:
person's name
street address (building number, street name, apartment number)
city, state, zip code
country
What is the format for addresses in Germany?
Do I have to write the address in German?

The address written the "American way" (without giving the actual building number [####] and letter indicating which door on the building [_])would be:

That will go to their house in vilseck. Do they not have an APO or CMR address? That would be much much much faster.
If you do mail it like this, it'll go over German post and should look like:
#### _ Spruce Court
Suedlager
92249 Vilseck
Germany
As the Germans refer and know Rose Barracks as Suedlager, or south camp if you will.
An APO or CMR would be like:
Name
CMR 411
Box ###
APO AE 09112
or

UNIT

Looks like you need the APO address . . .
The letter will go to the military post office and soldiers or dependents normally pick it up there.
You can use US stamps for a APO address. |

What you wrote is just fine, Make sure the country name is spellled largely enough so the post office sees it clearly and not just looking at the zip code or country code. |
