i actually just saw on google maps that the cathedral is just nearby the station. you guys are right. its says 9min walk on google maps. but i got luggages. so i guess i'll see if its really a walking distance when i get there. if not, i'll probably just take a cab.

the above posters are correct the Kölnerdom is opposite of the main train station in Köln just follow the signs they are even recognisable for analphabets.

I ll join the link of google maps

You really really really don't need to hire a cab, well, It´s just couple of minutes walk,

Köln Cathedral is the first sight you will notice when taking the main exit from the Köln central station.

and more for you :)

If you are in good shape, take the 509 stairs to the top of the south tower. It takes about an hour, so wear comfortable shoes, but it's worth the hike. Touring the Cathedral is forbidden during Mass. Entry into the cathedral is free but you will be asked for a donation. Admission to the tower costs €2. Admission to the treasury costs €4, however, a combined ticket granting you admission to the treasury and tower can be purchased for €5.

By the way, you have got luggage's so think about it!! :-)

Happy Travelling!

You can't barely miss it, when you get out the train station than you see the cathedral.

Way less than 9 min actually, more like 2 min. To take a cab would mean a longer walk than just going there.

It is right across the street. Look for the exit that says "to cathedral) (Dom)
