By train, by plain ( car and bus is difficult bus goes to Nibuell car also, but you can take a train from Nibuell to Westerland)
(there is not only the "Hindenburg Damm" There is also a ferry from Romoe, Danmark to List (Sylt) it is not so expensive, than the train from Nibuell, but it is 100 miles more.

I'm actually going to the very same place, very soon, from Hamburg! What my family is doing is we will drive to the coast, and then we'll get on a car train (you drive on it with your car and then you just ride...) to Sylt. Of course, you can also go by train, but taking a car will help with transportation on the actual island. Have FUN!
