Still another translation for "excellent" from a native German: "hervorragend".

"Es ist für seinen hervorragenden Service und sein freundliches Personal bekannt."

All the other translations are correct, too, so it's your choice. Just don't use "exzellent", which, although correct, is a foreign word of Latin origin. Why use it when there are so many German ones for it?

(btw, "hervorragend" is the literal translation from the Latin "excellens", which in English would be "outstanding".)

GPapenburg
Es ist bekannt für seinen vorzüglichen Service und sein freundliches Personal.

Trent
Es ist bekannt für seinen exzellenten Service und freundliches Personal.

camsquirrel
Es ist für seinen ausgezeichneten Service und freundliches Personal bekannt.

But that's admittedly a very formal way of wording it. Usually it would be done with "bekannt" where the first two answerers put it.
