Depends. If you refer to a computer keyboard, it would be:
Drücken Sie die [Entf]-Taste und dann die Leertaste
(That is: Press the [Del]ete key and then space -- Del on a German keyboard usually is "Entf" for "Entfernen", which means "delete", and the space bar is called "Leertaste". "Taste" means "key", referring to computer keyboards. - The key you use for a door lock would be a "Schlüssel".)
Oh, yes: The Ctrl key is Strg for "Steuerung", which is the German word for "control".

@Vermont, your friend Rick is wrong. "lochen" means "to punch" ("Loch" actually means "hole"). I suppose he was kidding on you. "löschen" is "to delete". "auslöschen" is "to exterminate", but I wouldn't go that far. |
