How is Germany in December last week ? |
on 22nd Dec I have a stopover at Frankfurt on my return flight to India. I am thinking of staying for 2-3 days and visiting some places in Germany... like Frankfurt, Munich. I have never been to Germany. But can anyone tell me if it will be very cold at that time and my stay will be not so worthwhile. If not can you suggest some places to cover in 2-3 days? |

Weatherwise it's not as cold, but consider that on the 24th is christmas eve and everything will be closed for the 24th, 25th and 26th (public holidays)
And on the 23rd (Saturday) shops are only open until approx. midday.
I am not sure if you really will be able to see too much of Germany if your stopover is in Frankfurt on the 22nd. Or just do Frankfurt this time for the 22nd and 23rd and visit their christmas market and other sights. Good Luck to you! |

We're having a very mild winter so far. A normal winter jacket will do.
Don't know if you're renting a car, but make sure to visit the Frankfurt Christmas market once you get there. It's a sight to behold. Lovely. |
