> In the last years summer in Germany were ht and try. We made it up until 35°C.
Yea, sure. We made it up until 43 in summer 2003, but that was an exceptionally hot summer we never had before. We even had "desert rain" then, you know, rain that didn't even reach the ground because it evaporated in the air before it could touch the soil.
Germany will at all times of the year be colder than Arizona. In August, we have the highest temperatures that can exceed 30 degree (Celsius), but not much. Usually, 32 is the limit, but that must be an exceptionally fine day. If you have two or three of those in a row, doctors and pharmacies make good business, because their waiting rooms are full with young people suffering from sunburns.
A normal, fine, warm summer day has around 24-26 degree Celsius. Some are colder, and it rains all the year between days. Some strong winds (which we call "summer storms") and thunder and lightning happen on a regular basis. Summer is "lightning season" in Germany. |

It is different each year, but summer is usually glorious and can be dry and hot. We had a really hot spell 2 years ago, with thunderstorms and heavy rain, which didn't last long. |

Summer in Germany
a heat wave means 85F can be sunny , but will always rain once or twice a week. you can count on the weather to be poor. rather than sunny and warm. |

Pretty darned cold. Snow in the Bayern region (South). They don't have a Winter break in the soccer season for nothing cos the ground is like concrete. |

about 25-30 degrees, sometimes even more.
but if you aren't lucky it can rain very much -even in summer-, too. |

It is usually hot in germany, unless it is cold. It also rains a lot in germany, unless it doesn't.
Rather vague aren't I? So is your question. |

Hamburg usually gets hot. |

It is impossible to predict what summer in Germany will be like.
The weather in Europe is ruled by warm high-pressure air from the Azores and cool low-pressure air from Island. By end of June/ beginning of July these influences generally form a pretty stable weather system that determines with 90% accuracy the European weather for July and August. The system looks like a frontline that runs straight from west to east, north of it you get rain and cool weather and south of it heat and sunshine. The run of this frontline can vary from in the south of Sweden to the north of Italy, whereever it settles will determine the weather in Europe for the summer.
This means that in Germany you either you get a cool and rainy summer with 15-25 C (60-77F) or a hot and dry summer with 25-35 C (77-95F).
Ask about 2 weeks before you leave, then you should get a decent reliable answer. |

Hamburg in the moment blue sky, sunshine 22°C (71,6° F)
Tomorrow we shall get 25 °C (77° F).
t_maia´s statement is absolutly correct.
Alwin 32°C is pehaps the limit in the Bavarian permafrost zone were you are living. Here in Hamburg we have normaly one week with at least 35° but temperature is often climbing to 37°.
To your information bavarian beer has 3.8% and beer for real men from the north 6 to 7.5%. |

Right now it's great in the 70's. No More SNOW... That was to much this year. Summer is always nice too and very short, but sometimes we are getting some thunderstorms. |
