How long does it take to get a visa for Germany? And is it hard?

I would like to know how long it will take to get a visa for Germany. I plan to visit my boyfriend there, but I don't know how long it will take for the German Embassy to process a visa application.

I am a US green card holder, not a citizen. And I am still an undergraduate student. Is it going to be hard for me to get the visa?

thanks.

Time varies;
depending to where you file it;
and depending on your nationality.

Im not sure how hard it will be for you to get a visa. Is it necessary for you to get a visa? Are you just going for a visit for less than 30 days, then you only need a passport. Visa's are for extended stays and if you are working or going to school. Check into it. Passports are easier. Get in contact with the embasy. Viel Gluck!

I don't think it need a long time .1 or 2 Weeks for a Traveller Visa. The best is you conntact the Embassy .

There is no need for a visa for stays up to 90 days. Passport is enough. Any longer and a work visa and /or residency permit will take 4 to 6 week and is very hard! Search on this site for any other visa questions. It's a life saver!

It really depends, which is your nationality.

Many countries won't need visa, but some do. Without knowing your nationality it really is not possible to answer your question.

Usually a tourist visa for Germany should take about 1 week to get, not longer.
