don't bother booking a flight. it would come out more expensive and more stressful. take the train from cologne to bonn. it would be cheaper and it won't be more than 2 hours. they have this special rate called schöner tag karte w/c you can use for all over Nordrhein-westfalen ( which cologne and bonn are part of. ) for one person, it would cost only 22 euros, i think or even less. for 5 persons, it would cost only 27 euros. this card can even get you as far as Enschede, already Holland. Once there, you can get
yourself a train or bus ticket to Amsterdam. you can travel from 9 am on week days and earlier on weekends. you can not use this ticket for IC or ICE trains, but no problem because there are other fast trains that you can use it for.

i forgot to add. the same ticket can be used for the local buses in and out of cologne and bonn. but not in Dutch buses anymore. the ticket is valid till 3 am next day of purchase.

Trains from Amsterdam directly to Cologne-Bonn airport need between 3,5 and 4,5 hours (see homepage of train company). If you leave (for example) at 8.09 h you´ll be at the airport at 11:25 h with only one change. The cost are about 50 Euros.

you need about 3 (maybe 4) hours by train and it will cost between 37 and 49 euros.

here is a link with the possible connections
http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/dn?ld=212.18&seqnr=5&ident=ok.01225818.1159775936&REQ0HafasScrollDir=1

its in german but very easy to understand. just click on a connection you like and you´ll see the details.
otherwise there is a part in english "intern. guests". you can book your ticket online if you want to, and it is possible to get from amsterdam do cologne airport in one day. you only have to change trains once. but be sure you have enough time for the reason that the trains have any delay.

because the price depends on your age go back to www.bahn.de and type in amsterdam to köln bonn airport and you´ll find the connections as well. i calculated the price with an age of 25.
i wish you a good journey.

Hi. The most cheapest way to go from Amsterdam to Bonn is www.mitfahrzentrale.de

Here you find people, who travel with their own car from point A to point B and have free space in their cars. The site is in German language, just click on the country (Amsterdam = Niederlande), and you will find both, Amsterdam and Bonn. Then you can see if there is anyone who has free room in his car, if not, you also can type a request. Everything is for free, by the way. Good luck!
