With plane my friend was flyed just 50 eur I guess with ryanair. or tuifly..By bus is nearly 30- 60 . If you choose train especially ICE is so expencive if you will not buy so before and online ticket.

If you're going from somewhere not far from the Dutch border, you can catch a regional train (Regionalbahn) which will be not as pricey as the fast ICE train. For example, Düsseldorf and Duisburg have a number of ok cross-border connections. |
