Have you found any work there? It is best to see what jobs are on offer before leaving. You don't want to be stuck in a foreign place with no job. Also, if you are serious than do a German course - knowing the language is vital, as all tax forms are of course in German, people at the foreign offices will only speak German to you and don't think that you will hear English being spoken all over.

Most young Germans speak, but only when they visit foreign countries, not in their own country.
For visas etc, best to go to embassy.
Good luck and enjoy the beer when you arrive!

learn german

Andy
Learn some German words, at least the basic. Search and ask about specific things you will like to get, where to live, how are you going to get around, etc.
And well the weather is nothing compared to Texas, so be prepared

Living in Germany is nice, but you need to learn first the language and find also some job. Remember in Germany it's getting very cold in wintertime, so not in Texas, there is always hot and hot.
Make some plans and read some books about Germany too. I wish you good luck.

Daya
hope u like beer.

Good luck my friend learn german and have some fun

I just can say that you first have to learn our language ( just like for every other country).
Then look for a place to live ( mhh what about the "rheingebiet" :-D) and get into contact with someone to get work (it is not even that easy forme as an underaged to get an temporary job -.-).... or maybe you should make vacation here, before thinking about to live here

roy s rawhide
YES DON'T GO. STAY HOME IT IS THE SAFE PLACE OR AT LEST THE BEST PLACE TO BE.
